Empowering Young Investors with Knowledge
Getting Started with investment
First off, one of the best ways to start investing is to use any simulators. These are basically identical to the real brokerage systems most people use. The share fluctuations etc, also update live, so this is basically a sort of a demo space where you can practice and improve/ understand how the stock works safely without putting any funds at risk. This is called "paper trading." Although some of them take a subscription, it is really worth it as you can loose a lot more trying to get started from the get go in real markets
How much to start with?
Starting to invest can be done with a small amount, depending on your budget and goals. Today, many brokerages let you start with as little as ₹500 or $10, but ideally, even a modest sum of ₹5,000 to ₹10,000 ($100–$200) is a good starting point for building a diversified portfolio. But you should stick to an amount that is comfortable for you. Carrying a mind such as, "I will probably loose the money I am first going to put into investing" is best. Of course, this probably won't happen if you are careful, but with an ever changing market, there isn't really a guarantee for anything at all. This is because when we are starting with investment, it is natural to make mistakes, but what is important is to learn from mistakes and not repeat them.

When starting to buy stocks with a budget like this, look for stocks worth 200₹/ 5$ or less. This is very important because if you want to be able to purchase multiple stock in bulk to have a noticalbe profit, this much is necessary.
